ONCE AGAIN THE WORLD WAS IMPRESSED BY THE SUCCESS OF EVTEKS, ISTANBUL HOME TEXTILE EXHIBITION, AT THE CNR EXPO CENTER!EVTEKS, Istanbul Home Textile Exhibition, organized by the CNR International Trade Fairs Inc., an affiliate of the CNR Holding, in collaboration with the Association for Turkish Home Textile Industrialists and Businessmen (TETSIAD), took place between 16-20 May 2012 at the CNR Expo Center in Istanbul. The fair opened its door on May 16 for 5 days and hosted approximately 1,000 exhibitor companies together with 119,000 visitors.
Ceyda Erem, CNR Holding President, gave information regarding EVTEKS, said that EVTEKS ranked as the second worldwide fair in home textile industry both in terms of venue and trade capacity. Erem added that “During EVTEKS purchasers made new orders of more than 1 billion dollars. With the commercial added value it created, EVTEKS is among the most important expert exhibitions worldwide. The world keeps a close eye on the fair due to its popularity in terms of the variety of exhibited products, the new trends of the textile industry presented and the density of the trade relationships generated by the participants both as visitors and exhibitors.'
EVTEKS is the choice of the industry leadersAs being the 4th biggest home textile supplier in the world and having the 5% share of the world's market in the industry, Turkey set itself an export objective of 10 billion USD for the year of 2023. EVTEKS, has been on the stage for 18 years, is regarded by the textile authorities as the most convenient trade environment in Turkey to generate the targeted business volume for the upcoming years.
Buyer delegations from 20 countries visited the fairBuyer delegations from 20 countries like France, Russia, Poland, Portuguese, Japan, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Canada, Moldova, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Brazilian, Iran, Hungary, Ukraine, Brazil hosted by the Ministry of Economy, visited the fair.
EVTEKS is the textile platform of the worldMore than 130 foreign companies from US, Europe and the Near East countries including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, England, Greece,Sweden, US, India, Russia, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Pakistan, Syria, Iran, the Netherlands, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Austria, Lebanon, Moldova involved the exhibition with their latest products during EVTEKS. Turkish companies from the cities Istanbul, Denizli, Bursa, Kayseri, Adana, Izmir, Ankara and Diyarbakir that are well-known for their success in home textile showed up at the fair.
B2B Match Platform at EVTEKSEVTEKS introduced for the first time B2B matching system this year in order to create web-based meeting platform both for its visitors and exhibitors before the exhibition. After the fair, the exhibitors of the event left very satisfied with the service provided since the system enabled them to catch new business opportunities with various visitors from different countries.
Dizaynist – Design Studios at EVTEKS for the first timeEVTEKS was presented an exclusive area called “dizaynist” for the first time this year. The various studios, designed for the presentation of the home textile products, excited the attendees. The design offices from Turkey, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, England, France, Holland and US participated at this unique section of the fair with their extra-ordinary presentations created especially for EVTEKS.
"TWIST" reflected the new trends for the home textile industryIstanbul Home Textile Exhibition, which is memorized with its concept renewed each year, welcomed 2013 seasonal home textile trends at the Trend Area. 'TWIST', prepared by NellyRodi, captured the attention of the trend participants with it's exciting themes named ''Elegant Twist, Maritime Energy, Jungle Fever, Bizarre Bazaar, Glam Graphic, Delicate Dream''.
'HAREM' Area became the meeting point of the visitors during EVTEKSEVTEKS welcomed their guests with a special touch this year at the Gallery 11. HAREM at the gallery, aiming to reflect the Ottoman spirit to the visitors, became the most popular space of the fair with its decoration composed of the fabric and upholstery concepts from Ottoman period. The popular point hosted the celebrities from the politics, economy and art. Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor, Kadir Topbas, visited EVTEKS and HAREM Area told that "We are significantly contributing to the country economy and the tourism income by hosting such a great organization in Istanbul. A large exhibition like EVTEKS continues to increase the country's economic and competitive power".
